Safety on the Internet. (A Guide for Young People)
These guidelines are to be used when dealing with young people accessing the website and given to them as guidance and advice. - Never tell anyone you meet on the internet your home address, your telephone number or any other identifying information unless your parent/carer gives you permission.
- Never send anyone your picture, credit card or bank details, or anything else, without first checking with your parent/carer
- Never divulge your password to anyone! (Not even your best friend)
- Never arrange to meet anyone in person without first agreeing it with your parent/carer
- If you do meet, always take someone with you for the first meeting and arrange to meet in a public place.
We are not able to refer directly for termination. We offer clients information on all the options and are
well–resourced to provide both immediate and long–term support as necessary, directing
to other agencies as appropriate.
