Perspectives was established in 1998 with the aim of supporting women and their families through crisis pregnancy situations and pregnancy loss.
Think you are pregnant?
We offer free pregnancy testing at the centre with immediate results and a chance to talk to some one impartial about the results.
Pregnant?
We offer a calm quiet place where you can talk about your feelings to one of our trained advisors who will listen to your concerns and provide you with unbiased information.We can also refer you to other organisations who maybe able to provide you with specific support and advice. We offer a befriending service for women who would like ongoing emotional and practical support throughout their pregnancy.
Pregnancy loss?
If you have experienced a miscarriage or a stillbirth we can support you through the grieving process, we can offer support to you and your partner for as long as you need.
Had an abortion?
If you have ever had an abortion, and have experienced some of the following symptoms, it could be that you are suffering from post-abortion stress; depression, anger, emotional numbness, eating disorders, relationship difficulties, guilt, anxiety or a sence of isolation
We have trained experienced advisors to help you deal with the pain and loss associated with your termination. We offer a post abortion course called 'The Journey' which enables you to work through your feelings at your own pace.
Schools?
We also work in local secondary schools providing lessons on sex and relationships, teenage parenting and abortion.

We are closed on bank holidays, and for 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter school holidays, and for the last 2 weeks of August.

We are not able to refer directly for termination. We offer clients information on all the options and are
well–resourced to provide both immediate and long–term support as necessary, directing
to other agencies as appropriate.
