We provide a free friendly help to individuals and families under stress because of an unwanted pregnancy. Free pregnancy testing is offered; counselling, emotional support and friendship; information on abortion and the alternatives; post-abortion counselling; tem[orary accommodation where necessary. Maternity clothes and baby furnishings, which are largely donated, are also provided. There is a 24-hour telephone helpline. With the exception of the part-time administrator, and a person who represents the Centre in schools, all personnel currently involved are volunteers.
