CareConfidential pregnancy and post-abortion helpline is available to anyone in the UK regardless of their age, beliefs, background, gender or circumstances (however, as we're a UK-based charity, we're unable to return calls to regions outside of the UK). We provide information, advice and support if you are facing an unplanned pregnancy, if you are concerned after an abortion or have experienced baby loss. All advisors are trained and experienced in counselling women and their partners facing these situations.

Helping you face an unplanned pregnancy…
CareConfidential helpline advisors offer you a specialist crisis pregnancy counselling service with unconditional care and acceptance. Their aim is to provide you with time and space to explore all the options available to you. They provide accurate, appropriate information and sensitive support so that you can also explore your response to your situation and make an informed choice for yourself about your future.
Where possible, you can also be referred to local agencies where you can talk to someone face to face and receive ongoing support, if you wish.
What about women who've had an abortion in the past?
Some women find that they are really troubled by a past abortion, whether it was recently or a long time ago. For you it can be good to talk to someone who understands and cares. Our advisors are trained to support you through this difficult time. We may also be able to refer you, should you wish, to local agencies who offer post-abortion support using a 10 step recovery programme.
What about men?
Men may also need support in a crisis pregnancy situation or after their partner’s abortion. CareConfidential welcomes calls from men who require help too.
