Amica Pregnancy Crisis Centre in Edinburgh serves Livingston, Broxburn, Penicuik, Dalkeith, Musselburgh, Prestonpans and Haddington in Lothian region.

The centre offers:

- free pregnancy testing with immediate result

- pregnancy counselling for women and/or men facing an unexpected pregnancy. The centre holds up to date information on other relevant support services in the local area, as well as offering confidentiality and space to consider all their options and allow people to talk through their feelings regarding their own circumstances.

- counselling and information for women who are supporting their daughters facing an unplanned pregnancy.

- post-abortion help and support for those who have had a difficult experience and are struggling with unexpected emotions regarding a termination of pregnancy.

- help and support for women and men coping with feelings of grief following a miscarriage.

- Information and support for those considering an adoption plan

We hold a stock of maternity clothing, baby clothes and equipment for women and families in need of them. Please ask for more details.

All of the support services above are both FREE and CONFIDENTIAL.

The centre has a comprehensive teenage education programme visiting local state and independent secondary schools and youth groups in the area which dovetails into the SHARE (Sexual Health & Relationships Education) curriculum. Teachers or Youth Workers wishing to find out more about Amica's programme should contact our Community & Outreach Coordinator.
