I was in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend. I was lonely and missed him loads. One might I went out and met someone else. A few weeks down the line I found out I was pregnant. After weeks of not knowing what to do about my baby, I went to the Basingstoke Pregnancy Crisis Centre. That's where I met one of the counsellors. I found it hard to talk to her at first as I am not good at sharing my feelings, but as the minutes passed, I was telling her everything. She was a great listener. Just as well really as she couldn’t shut me up! It felt so good to get everything out in the open. Even though I am close to my family, I found it easier to talk to someone who didn't know me.

After weeks of visiting the counsellor I made the decision to keep my baby. Without the support and advice from the Basingstoke Pregnancy Crisis Centre, I feel that a head decision could have been so much harder.

After making my decision I found I could still pop in for a chat and a cup of tea anytime. I did this so often that they saw me right through to the end of my pregnancy. I now have a gorgeous baby boy and still see the counsellor every now and then. Poor woman can't get rid of me!

I must stress that any decisions I made were mine as I knew whatever decision was made, I would have had support from everyone at the Basingstoke Pregnancy Crisis Centre. I hope that anyone reading this will benefit as much as I did.
